Downtown Photo Op - Main Street Cleanup 08

With the summer tourist season around the corner, Muskegon Main Street organized the 6th Annual Spring Clean-up and over 120 volunteers were on hand to plant spread mulch, pick up trash, mow the grass, move the round-a-bout shrubs etc. G & L Chili Dogs and Plumb's Valu-Rite provided a tasty lunch, which was served at Hackley Park. Thanks to City Cafe for the use of some lunch equipment. By the end of the day, there was a noticeable difference, with things looking cleaned up, spruced up and picked up. Big shout out to the City of Muskegon for co-organizing the project, and also Volunteer Muskegon, Goodwill, the MAISD 1st Street Transition Classroom, Nelson School students, Huntington Bank employees, Community Foundation employees and volunteers, and the many other downtown employees that took part. See you all next year!
